Vicky and Tori,
Thank you both for participating. Excellent choice, #1 Royal Reds is one of my first paintings which combines a new approach of stylized background with defined images of flowers. My plan is to publish the winner on the blog. See you both in class
Best regards

I do love them all, but if I have to pick one then #6 is going to have to be my favorite because of the way the background behind the tulip draws attention to the tulip in a different light than the all the other paintings. The tulip itself is beautiful, but it looks even better within the environment that it is displayed in. I like all of these paints quite a bit though, because my Grandmothers nickname was tulip, because of her love for the flower, she must of had 100 or more in her garden back in Ohio during any given spring.

You are an amazing artist Tom. Life just explodes from your paintings and photos. It was hard for me to narrow it down, but I would say my favorite is actually #4. It's so vibrant...so alive. so cheerful. Kudo's on everything you do Tom!
Peace,
Deb

Thank you for the wonderful compliments. A lot of people who see Floating Tulips agree about the dynamic color of this 9x12 Soft Pastel. I am sitting on the fence about the reunion for a couple of reasons which involve airplanes and monkeys, I mean money.LOL

I love them all, and you know I'm your #1 fan, and a tulip would be a welcome addition to our Thomas Willa collection.
But #3 I pick because I love the yellow, it is a memory color and I have so many wonderful memories of times with you and Miki (and Larry), and the royal blue behind the bloom is the perfect color to off-set the yellow, as well as Larry's favorite color, and the trio yellow/blue/white is one of my all time favorite combinations!Ceci said in an email, thanks for your thoughts, taking the time to participate and have a great week
